No Halloween Candy or Costumes at School

Steve Marsh: At the end of the summer John Muir lost our beloved former school librarian, Steve Marsh. If you would like to celebrate Mr. Marsh’s life with the community, you are invited to join family, friends, colleagues, and students on Friday, November 10th, at the Mount Baker Community Club. Please RSVP promptly if you plan to attend.

Walking School Bus: Kids who take a Muir walking bus at least 3 times the week of 10/30 will receive prizes from SDOT! Routes, southeast and southwest of Muir (drop-off only) Join John Muir Walking School Bus.

Volunteer Orientation:  If you are interested in volunteering for this school year, please join us for the volunteer orientation on November 2nd from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Please RSVP for Volunteer Orientation.   In the meantime, please complete the SPS volunteer process and application at SPS Volunteer Application. Library Corner: This week Grades 3-5 will be learning about media balance in the library.  Here are some ways you can help your student understand the balance in your family.

Veterans Day Breakfast: You are invited to our Title I Veteran’s Day Breakfast! Please join us as we honor you and your service to our Country on Thursday, November 9th from 9-10am. Please fill out the survey below by November 3rd so that we can ensure we have enough food for everyone. We are looking forward to celebrating you! 

Picture Retake Day: Friday, November 3.  If your student was absent or started at John Muir after September 22 they will have their picture taken.  Please let the teacher know if your student will be taking retakes. Information how to preview and order pictures online will be available on picture day.
