Personal Message

Welcome families! It is my pleasure to be partnering with you in educating your children this year. It will be my seventeenth-year teaching at John Muir and twenty-seventh year in the Seattle School District, including over ten years in the bilingual program (K–12). In my years of experience, I have come to appreciate how important it is to support children and their natural love of learning. I want to help my students by fostering this attitude in their early years, as a foundation for future learning. I am able to communicate with parents in both Chinese and Vietnamese, if needed. Looking forward to a great school year.

Biography

My name is Mrs.Manuel. I’ve been a teacher at Muir since 2010. I’ve taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade. I currently teach 5th. I also have twins here at Muir in 2nd grade. I love our school and community!
