Blue Stars and Gold Stars
Blue Stars are awarded to classrooms as a group incentive. Blue stars are most often given by John Muir staff members outside of the classroom.
Gold Stars are awarded to individual students as a personal incentive. Yellow stars are given by anyone who notices a student demonstrating the John Muir Way.
Golden Awards
At the beginning of each month, it will be announced over the intercom which classrooms earned the Golden Award for consistently showing the John Muir Way in Specialists (art, gym, music, library), in the hallway, at lunch, or at recess. These classes will keep the award in their classroom for the month.
